FC Bayern is facing a major upheaval in the summer. Some players – including Sadio Mané and Serge Gnabry – are apparently on the sale list. In central midfield, however, the Munich team also want to change something. At least that’s Thomas Tuchel’s wish.
According to reports, Mateo Kovacic from Chelsea is on Bayern’s list. However, according to ‘kicker’ information, the name of another star from the Premier League has been mentioned on Säbener Straße. Tuchel is said to be a big fan of Casemiro. The Brazilian from Manchester United has all the qualities that the new Bayern coach is currently missing in the team.
Realistic transfer?
Whether the officials of the record champions are preparing an offer for the 70-time national player is not communicated. Hard to imagine that the Red Devils would give up the top performer. Casemiro moved from Real Madrid to Old Trafford for €70m last summer. And in Manchester he still has an employment contract that is valid until 2026.
Should the 31-year-old not be available, a player with similar leadership qualities would be desirable. At the highest level, however, there are only a few professionals from this category who meet such a requirement profile. In addition, said player should be a real sweeper, someone who likes to take on defensive tasks.
