Victor Osimhen (24 / SSC Napoli) is FC Bayern’s dream solution, Randal Kolo Muani (24 / Eintracht Frankfurt) is the most likely option. And even with Harry Kane (29 / Tottenham Hotspur), Munich is said to have dared to advance again.
But the squad planners around Hasan Salihamidzic have to deal with other candidates just in case. One of them is apparently Ollie Watkins (27) from Aston Villa. The Daily Mirror brings the English national striker into play with the German record champions.

Bayern scouts were in the stands during Villa’s 1-0 win over Fulham on Tuesday. Watkins didn’t score, but he’s still in great form. In the 2023 calendar year, the 1.80 meter man already scored eleven goals in the Premier League.
Villa paid a whopping €34m for Watkins to Brentford FC in 2020. His contract in Birmingham runs until 2025. Experience has shown that English national players are not bargains. It is therefore questionable whether FC Bayern’s activities around Watkins go beyond scouting.
