FC Bayern expresses their confidence in the seriously injured Gabriel Marusic. As Munich announce, the contract with the 20-year-old central defender has been extended until 2025. The previous working paper would have expired in the summer. Marusic is currently out on a long-term basis with a cruciate ligament and medial meniscus tear, which he contracted in April.
“Gaba’s injury came as a shock to all of us. With this contract extension, we want to set an example and express that we stand by our players even in difficult situations.”, says campus manager Jochen Sauer. Marusic comes from the youth of Munich and was used in the regional league team before his injury. The 20-year-old was already part of the matchday squad in both the Bundesliga and the Champions League.
