A fine of almost 2 million dollars for CD Projekt
The launch of Cyberpunk 2077 is considered a disaster in the video game industry. Two years after its release, CD Projekt’s FPS has considerably tarnished the studio’s reputation, even causing the wrath of its investors. Moreover, the latter did not hesitate to sue the developers. The studio is then accused of having spawned a game “virtually unplayable on current generation Xbox or Playstation systems due to a huge number of bugs”. The lawsuit is ongoing and the judge recently gave his approval for CD Projekt to make a $1.85 million settlement to its investors. This amount covers, among other things: settlement administration costs, taxes, fees and attorney’s fees. While waiting for the final verdict, we remind you that Cyberpunk 2077 has still sold more than twenty million copies! The Polish studio can therefore slowly turn the page and focus on its new projects.
