It’s now official: Jenna Ortega, the star of the Netflix series Wednesdaywill hold one of the main roles of Beetlejuice 2. This sequel to the cult 1988 film from Tim Burton is expected in US theaters on September 6, 2024, as reported Variety.
This fantasy comedy followed Lydia (Winona Ryder), a troubled teenager who lived with Beetlejuice (Michael Keaton), a crazy poltergeist. According to Variety, the director and his two actors will be back in the second installment. Jenna Ortega will play Lydia’s daughter.
According Deadlineactor Justin Theroux will also be part of the cast of Beetlejuice 2. No details have been revealed about his role. Filming is due to start this week in London.
