Kate is played on screen by Charlotte Ritchie, a British actress born in 1989. Her first appearance was in 2005, when she landed the role of Lin in Doctor Who. If Kate is not only the cynical and haughty person she shows to be seen at first glance, it is still difficult to take a liking to her.
