Before the Epiphany meeting of the FDP in Stuttgart, the newcomers to the party complain about the declining proportion of women among the Liberals: the Free Democrats have 42 percent women on the federal executive board. “Unfortunately, the proportion of women in the party is currently declining,” said the chairwoman of the Young Liberals, Franziska Brandmann, this editorial. She sees it as a “central challenge for the FDP” to make a political offer to women who long for freedom, self-determination and equal opportunities.
