The electoral processes of 2023 have already started and within the wave of alliances and uncovering of candidates for the presidency of the Republic there are several politicians who aspire to some public office, this is the case of the president of the Board of Directors of the Chamber of Deputies, Santiago Believe.
Who in his last press conference assured that as soon as the call for the Va por México coalition, made up of PRI, PAN and PRD, is inaugurated, he will try to be the first to obtain registration to become the candidate of the opposition alliance, the which was recently rebuilt.
“In the case of the PAN, the president of the party has already said it, the call will open soon, and once it opens I try to be the first to register, but it will be an open call for applicants who wish to register as pre-candidates in National Action”, he explained.
As president of the Chamber of Deputies, he described the situation in which the country finds itself as “a disaster”, for which he and his party will try to give a different direction to the politics of Mexico.
“I’m going to try or try to be the first to register; I am ready, I am determined to change the course of this country, a course of disaster, and put it back on a course of prosperity,” he insisted.
Regarding who can contend within the alliance, Creel did not close the door on other political figures from the opposition.
He recalled that in accordance with the provisions of the Va Por México alliance, the PAN will lead the process of selecting the candidate to face Morena in 2024.
“It is not restricted to PAN members, it is not restricted to members of any political party, except Morena and, therefore, anyone who meets the requirements can participate because, of course, there will be requirements, who meet the requirements can register under the rules that establish the National Action Party”, commented the PAN member.
The former Secretary of the Interior in the six-year term, Fox, anticipated that he will try or try to be the first to register, “I am ready, I am determined to change the course of this country, a course of disaster, and put it back on a path of prosperity”.
