“We are in negotiations and I do not want to say too much. I think I can say enough by saying that Slimani has done a very good job since January. His stats show it. He fitted in perfectly. It proves that when we are looking for a specific profile in relation to our style of play, it works”. Said the manager at the Brussels club.
But a twist has taken place in the player’s future. The latter could leave Europe during the next summer transfer window.
A golden bridge offered to “SuperSlim”?
Indeed, and according to several Belgian media, Islam Slimani is coveted by several clubs in the Gulf countries. These include Saudi and Qatari clubs.
Admittedly, the Greens striker would like to continue the adventure with Anderlecht, but tempting offers from the Gulf could change the situation. At 35, the player is thinking about post-retirement, adds the Belgian media.
