A man and a woman were arrested this Tuesday after leading a persecution in the middle of General Paz avenue, when they tried to escape aboard a truck that had a patent with a valid kidnapping request, police sources reported.
It all started when members of the City Police, through the system of license plate readers located at the height of the La Noria Bridge, They identified a black Jeep Renegadewhich was circulating with a license plate with a request for active kidnapping for the theft of a white vehicle, on January 10, at the request of the 8C Neighborhood Police Station.

Faced with this situation, policemen belonging to the Motorized Division were alerted by radio frequency and began to follow the vehicle in question, while real-time monitoring was carried out through the cameras.
The spokesmen reported that, upon noticing the police presence, the occupants of the truck fled, leading to a chase that ended on General Paz avenue, in the Riachuelo direction, at the height of Rivadavia avenue.
The case fell to the National Correctional and Federal Correctional Court No. 2, in charge of Dr. Sebastián Ramos, secretary No. 4, in charge of Dr. Esteban Murano.
According to the sources, in that place, the truck was intercepted and a man and a woman were arrested and brought to justice. The procedure was carried out after a journey of around five kilometers and thanks to a traffic stopper that prevented the advance of the unregistered vehicle. At that moment, despite the dangerous maneuvers, the uniformed men managed to get close on foot and make the apprehension.

The capture of the suspects was possible thanks to the Digital Ring, a state-of-the-art control system that allows the City Police to identify vehicles that have prohibitions to circulate, covering the 74 entrances and exits of the Federal Capital, along along General Paz avenue, the bridges over the Riachuelo and the main circulation arteries.
