The Lichtenberg district office, together with the branch office of the Senate Department for Education, Youth and Family, is once again organizing the Lichtenberg day of action “becoming acquainted” on Wednesday, March 22, 2023. The aim of the day of action is to introduce interested educators to the Lichtenberg school landscape and new specialists for the win district.
Both experienced and prospective or future educators can get to know several Lichtenberg schools and a variety of career prospects on this day. In three guided bus tours, interested parties head for Lichtenberg school locations on the day, together with the district mayor Michael Grunst (left), the school councilor Filiz Keküllüoğlu (Greens) and the head of the branch office of the Senate Department for Education, Youth and Family, Martina Roth.
The offer is aimed at anyone who is interested in working as a teacher or educator or in another educational profession at a school. The school inspectorate will provide information about the recruitment needs of the schools.
“We need numerous new employees for the many new school places that we create every year and for the existing schools,” says Grunst (Die Linke). For school councilor Keküllüoğlu, Lichtenberg is one of the “most exciting districts with a colorful school landscape and very committed school management who are committed to good working conditions and optimal learning conditions.”
But many educators are not yet aware of Lichtenberg, according to the city councillor. This should change no later than on the “getting to know” campaign day. The head of the branch office of the Senate Department for Education, Youth and Family, Martina Roth, also thinks: “Here you meet school communities that are on an exciting path.”
