in commemoration of the 140 years of Los Hornosthe Municipality of La Plata invites residents to participate in a guided bicycle tour that will tour the main attractions of the town. The appointment will be on Sunday afternoon.
The event organized by the Secretariat of Public Spaces will start At 18 and the participation of Los Hornos Commercial Association (ACLHO) located at 137 between 60 and 61. It will last two hours and those interested in participating may lTake your own wheels or use those that the Commune will have for this purpose together with their respective helmets.
“It is important that families can get to know this emblematic neighborhood in detail and that has had so much to do with the founding history of La Plata,” said tHead of the Municipal Entity for Tourist Activity, Daniel Loyola.
As reported by the Municipality, the tour includes the Plaza de la Madre, the mural with the development of the neighborhood, the historical clock, the 137 avenue shopping center, the railway workshops, the San Benjamín parish, the Jorge Julio López cultural center and the municipal cemetery.
The person in charge of the initiative Joseph Etchartexpressed: “The municipal program ‘Bicitando la Ciudad’ combines the healthy habit of riding a bicycle with local tourist activity, in a proposal that includes guided circuits through various emblematic points of the Buenos Aires capital.”
The bike ride is part of the schedule that the Municipality will develop to celebrate the 140 years of the town. The festivities will include live musical shows, samples, a gastronomic corridor, a children’s space and the projection of a film.
