Samsung has released an updated version of the Bixby voice assistant, which is now smarter and more responsive. The new version 3.3.15.18 has several improvements, is approximately 63 MB and is now available in the Galaxy Store.

More responsive and focus on children’s use

According to Samsung, the update allows the assistant to recommend more useful settings and a wider range of quick and personalized commands based on conversations with the user – which makes its use easier and more intuitive. In addition, the South Korean company has added a parental verification mode, so that child accounts can request authorization when they want to use Bixby functions, as well as additional third-party sharing permissions.

Another new feature in version 3.3.15.18 is releasing voice activation when a ringtone, alarm or the text-to-speech feature (Bixby TTS) is being played, even if the “Wake up when sound is playing” option is disabled. To enable this function, just follow the path:

  1. Access the settings menu;
  2. Access the “Voice Activation” option;
  3. Enable the option “Activate when media is playing.”

Samsung also reinforces that, for now, the children’s account is only available in South Korea and the United States, but has plans to expand availability in other countries.
