After the great success at the box office, fans are waiting to understand how Black Panther’s journey will continue within the MCU, especially after what happened in Wakanda Forever (sequel that respectfully paid homage to the late Chadwick Boseman). To provide new updates on a potential Black Panther 3 we thought Letitia Wright, interpreter of Shuri, in an interview at the Golden Globes.

Work on Black Panther 3 would have already begun

I really think that a third chapter is already in development. It took us two years to get everyone on board and support the sequel. Now we have to take a break, recharge our energy and Ryan has to figure out how to proceed. It will take some time, but I’m excited about what you can see in the future.

At the moment Marvel Studios has not confirmed or denied his statements, but a third chapter of Black Panther appears obvious. Wakanda Forever grossed over $1 billion at the box office and featured Shuri’s character don the Black Panther costume, honoring T’Challa’s great legacy. In the original script, before the disappearance of Chadwick Boseman, Shuri was instead expected to fight with his brother to defend Wakanda from Namor’s assault: two Black Panthers, therefore, united for a common goal.

Wakanda forever he also triumphed at this year’s Golden Globes. Angela Bassett, who played Queen Ramonda, won the Best Supporting Female Actress Award for her performance in the film. A historic first since up to now no Marvel film had ever been awarded at the famous ceremony. Black Panther: Wakanda Forever will stream on Disney Plus starting February 1, 2023. The film will arrive on the streaming platform without additional costs compared to the normal subscription.
