The pressure is mounting on Zack Hudson as he prepares to become a father with Whitney Dean.
But he’s shaken even more when a familiar face arrives in Walford in the next scenes of EastEnders.

And he struggles to keep it together[/caption]
Fatherhood is an adjustment the chef played by James Farrar is willing to embrace.
However, he drops a bombshell on Whitney Dean (Shona McGarty) when he tells her he’s been offered a job on a cruise ship, the opportunity of a lifetime.
Ready to step in, Zack is less than happy to leave Whitney and their child alone in Albert Square.
But he is aware that he may have no choice but to take the job for financial reasons.
Arriving on BBC One, Zack checks with Whitney that she’s happy he’s taking the job and, thinking that’s what he wants, she tells him to go.
Chelsea Fox (Zaraah Abrahams) soon becomes involved and, snarling Zack, she tells him that Whit doesn’t really want him to leave.
Zack is initially angry, feeling pressured by Chelsea as he is only willing to take the job for the piles of money they will need for the baby.
He quickly calms down and refuses the offer.
Whitney and Zack are thrilled to be on the same page…but their happiness is cut short when the hunk spots an old acquaintance named Brett.
The newcomer’s presence only rattles him further when Zack is on a mission to convince Ravi to give him the role of head chef and a pay raise at Walford East.
Things go from bad to worse for him when he finds out that his sister Sharon Watts is considering Brett for a PT position at Crunch Time.

In later scenes, things get complicated as Zack tries to scare Brett into leaving Walford in a heated confrontation.
But Brett has bad news for Zack and his world is turned upside down again in an instant.
Completely oblivious, Whitney is happy to hear Zack convince Ravi to give her a second chance, but worries about his lack of enthusiasm for the ultrasound.
She’s further worried when a broken Zack comes to the club to drown her sorrows.
The evening ends terribly for the couple as Zack finds himself in a drunken argument with Whitney.
Zack says something he might regret – how will Whitney react?
In a fit of rage and fear, Zack then smashes a glass, cutting his hand and collapsing.
What will Brett tell him?
