Block Party Brings Us A Song To Dance To Non-Stop With “High Life”
It was in 2022 when Bloc Party brought us the album Alpha Games (you can check here our review of the material). And well, it seems that they decided not to wait any longer to release new music.
The group now goes for a funky sound influenced by their well-known dance-rock vibe with “High Life”. And it is not for less because this song of optimistic melodies, sIt was composed to replicate that feeling of when you fall in love again. And we don’t say it, but the mere Kele Okereke:
“I wanted ‘High Life’ to sound like falling in love againthe beginning of a new intertwined love, cemented by nights of abandonment and stolen moments of intimacy… I really wanted it to feel like a celebration.“the vocalist said in a statement.
Is more Bloc Party music coming?
The release that Bloc Party brings us with “High Life”, makes us wonder if the band has plans to release some new record material. As we said above, they they just released the album Alpha Games in 2022, with which they also broke six years of absence.
So it’s probably too soon to think about a new full-length album, but you never know. Maybe an EP? Well, considering that the band was away for quite a while, It is also not unreasonable that they have enough composite material to share. But then there is no other choice but to wait.
