Bludenz (dk). On May 13th and 14th, 2023, Bludenz will be all about racy BMX sport. Because then the biggest local bike spectacle of the year, the international BMX weekend with the “Arlberg Quellfrisch Open” and the “2. Run to the German-Swiss Championship” across the stage.

The major event, which was brought forward from August to May for organizational reasons, offers everything a cyclist’s heart desires. Around 200 participants from Germany, Italy, Switzerland and Austria will be at the start, including around 50 athletes of all ages from the local BMX club Sparkasse Bludenz, who of course reckon they have good chances on their home track.

Baptism of fire for the new railway

The event is also the baptism of fire for the newly designed and completely remodeled BMX facility on Rungelinerstrasse. It is now even more selective and meets high international standards. So everything is set for a top event, the spectators will get to see BMX sport at its finest. The event is managed, entry is free.
