The Borderlands film changes director for a few more weeks of filming, following a test screening which obviously did not convince.

The film Borderlands is indeed a reality. The feature film has already been shot, but has not yet completely finished its screening. After a visibly inconclusive first test screening last November (only a few minutes were viewed) the film has to be touched up and two weeks of shooting are already scheduled. Incidentally, the film completely changes directors.

The real Deadpool on Borderlands

For several days already, a large number of rumors affirmed that the feature film was not going very well and that the director Eli Roth (hostel, cabin fever), had been kindly dismissed. However, they were only partially right since if Roth did indeed give up his place, he was not fired from the project as reported by Deadline. The latter has simply moved on and is busy with his next horror film Thanksgivinga highly anticipated adaptation by fans of a fake trailer that could be seen just before the film Planet Terror (Grindhouse) by Robert Rodriguez and Tarantino.

And it is therefore Tim Miller who will take over the reins of the film Borderlands for a few more weeks of filming. An amicable transfer of powers according to Deadline.
Miller is a director who has been rather popular since the film Dead Pool with Ryan Reynolds, and the creation of the mini-series Love Death and Robot, the first three seasons of which charted on Netflix. A nice popularity which will all the same have taken a little lead in the wing after the sad Terminator: The Dark Fates released in 2019.

The director will therefore take over to finish the film once and for all and could well bring his little personal touch to it along the way. As a reminder, the film Borderlands is written by Craig Mazin (The Last of Us, Chernobyl) and will send us to the planet Pandora to follow the misadventures of the iconic characters of the license embodied by a 5-star cast. Like the mermaid Lilith (Cate Blanchett), the soldier Roland (Kevin Hart), Krieg (Florian Munteanu) the completely crazy sadist, the explosive Tina (Ariana Greenblatt), this dear Dr. Tannis (Jamie Lee Curtis) or even the self-proclaimed master of all (Jack Black).

The film Borderlands Unfortunately, it shouldn’t see the light of day for quite some time and still doesn’t have a release date.
