The security forces regained control of the headquarters of the Congress, the Presidency and the Supreme Court of Brazil this Sunday, after being invaded and vandalized by hundreds of radical followers of the ex-president Jair Bolsonaroin Brasilia.
Riot agents charged the coup protesters with tear gas and established a perimeter around the Plaza de los Tres Poderes, where the buildings that house the Executive, Legislative and Judicial branches are located.
According to preliminary information from the Police, cited by local media, so far there are 150 detainees.

Thousands of far-right supporters, sympathizers of Bolsonaro, caused chaos in the Brazilian capital by violently entering and partially destroying the Supreme Court, Parliament and the Planalto Palace, seat of government.
The events, unanimously condemned by the international community, occurred exactly one week after Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva assume the Presidency of Brazil.
It was around four and a half hours during which the Bolsonaro protesters roamed freely through these facilities, causing damage inside, while dozens of others surrounded the buildings, some of them equipped with sticks.

The progressive leader also promised in a statement to find and punish the “fascist hooligans” who “They destroyed everything in their path” in Brasilia and identify the possible “financiers” of these undemocratic acts.
Shortly before Lula’s announcement, the Secretary of Security of Brasilia, Anderson Torreswho was Minister of Justice in the Bolsonaro government, was removed from his position.
Lula’s government, through the State Attorney General’s Office, also requested the Supreme Court to arrest Torres.
