After the political exchange of blows between the state of Vorarlberg and the city of Bregenz, further replies from Bregenz city politics now follow.
SPÖ City Councilor Pockenauer does not let the statements of State Councilor Tittler stand and expresses his displeasure in the following statement.
“Regional Councilor Tittler seems to be confusing something in the email he published. The email he provided only shows the response from the state capital Bregenz to the state of Vorarlberg, in which the state capital Bregenz informed the state that the study was in order from their point of view is and tells how many copies of the finished study are needed.
The state did not give approval for the use of the study in any of the emails.
For this reason, the two emails of December 22, 2022 and the email of January 16, 2023 were also decisive for the state capital of Bregenz, in which the state informed in writing that the preview of the study may not be passed on to the public.
Even more serious is the note in the mail of January 16, 2023, in which it is expressly pointed out that the preliminary copy of the study may not be used for “political decision-making processes”.
To say afterwards that you only had to ask would lead the mails mentioned ad absurdum.
That says everything on this subject. The clarification was only intended to correct the unfounded accusations made by the ÖVP and the Greens.
Much more important for Bregenz is LR Tittler’s statement that there is no discrepancy in content between the state and the state capital Bregenz, which is very positive for the project itself.”
The mayor is also criticized by NEOS.
“The meeting of the Bregenz city council was not called by the opposition, nor was it canceled by the opposition.
The reason for the cancellation was the inadequate preparation of the meeting and a decision that could not be made in this way.
The country’s study only answers part of the open questions. The study wasn’t public before the invitation and it wasn’t yet.
Responsible for the disaster are Michel Ritsch and Robert Pockenauer.
The highest body in the city, the city council, can only make decisions that are well prepared and fall within their area of responsibility. Michael Ritsch is not the victim of the country and the Bregenz opposition. I find the accusation of black and green amateurishness justified and more flattered than apt.”
