Brian Cox, Emmy and Golden Globe Award-winning Scottish actor, will be ‘The Controller’ in the upcoming Prime Video series born in the James Bond universe: ‘007’s Road to a Million’.

The actor, known for his role in the series ‘Succession’, will bring the character to life. Responsible for the Fate of Contestants in Amazon Distributor’s Upcoming Original Serieswhich will be available soon in over 240 countries and territories worldwide.

In a statement, Prime Video explains that “the program is a competition where competitors have to go through a great adventure to win the final prize of one million pounds (about 1.13 million euros)“, filmed in “various iconic Bond locations”, from the Scottish Highlands to Venice and Jamaica.

“The controller is a cult villain and enjoys the trips and increasingly difficult questions the contestants must overcome. It has millions of pounds to offer, up to one million per pairbut it doesn’t make the process easy. While lurking in the shadows, it is watching and controlling everything.“, the missive also reads.

In that same note, the concept of the program is explained: “In addition to overcoming obstacles, the competitors, who will compete in teams of two people, they must correctly answer questions hidden in different places in the world to move on to the next challenge.”

“I got to see how normal people would deal with the feeling of being in a James Bond adventure. As they travel across the world to some of Bond’s most iconic locations, the game becomes more intense and interesting.. I enjoyed my role as both villain and tormentorlicensed to put participants to the test,” says Brian Cox, quoted in the same release.
