This is a story of insecurity, but with a happy ending thanks to the intervention of “Bruna”, the heroine dog. It happened in a house in the El Mondongo neighborhood, where a gang of “wheelie-jets”, mounted on a motorcycle, tried to carry out a ferocious coup. Until he ran into the three-year-old animal, a cross between a Belgian shepherd, who took the thieves out.
According to her owners, “Bruna” was adopted when she was a two-month-old puppy, who was picked up by Dolores on a return trip from Mar del Plata.
Returning to the terrible moment that was experienced in the area of 68 and 118, everything happened in the early hours of Wednesday, when three heavily armed criminals had managed to get into the home after repeated impacts, on the garage door, with the front wheel of the vehicle. in which they moved.
“TURNED OUT TO BE VERY GUARDIAN”
When this newspaper was presented at the scene, “Bruna” was lying down and attentive behind the same access through which the assailants had to flee, terrified.
Nothing falls off your radar. She is always attentive and vigilant. And when she has to bark or show her teeth, she does it in an insistent and intimidating way.
Adrián Burroni (52) and his son Tobías (19) were the ones who told details of what happened and did not hide their surprise, because they understood that the dog was calm and familiar.
“That guardian side, the truth, we did not have it in mind,” they indicated.
However, when the three thieves entered the house’s garage with their motorcycle and seconds later walked into the living room, “Bruna” sensed that the intruders represented a danger. Then, she barked at them with such force and insistence that she convinced them to mutate the plan for a quick escape to get safe.
“The truth is that it turned out to be a very watchful dog,” Burroni said.
Tobías, in turn, recounted that “I was just awake in my bedroom, at 3 in the morning, entertained with the computer. But a while before I had heard that there was noise from the street of motorcycles. It was these guys.”
Occasional witnesses, it was reported in the neighborhood, revealed that the assailants “took a race with the motorcycle and rammed the garage door. Until on the third attempt they managed to open one of its leaves.
Tobias realized the situation and ran from his room to the backyard to see what was happening.
“I saw in the darkness of the garage, barely illuminated by the front lamp of the motorcycle, that there were three thieves,” said the young man.
But if that image had an impact on him, he said that he immediately witnessed another one from a distance that generated a similar sensation, but in this case motivated by pride for his pet.
He reflected that “Bruna got in the way of the criminals, in the living room. She barked at them wildly, she showed her teeth, she was furious. She was excited to see how she stood up for her family.”
In return, he indicated that he feared for “Bruna” when “one of the criminals pointed a firearm at him. Thank God he didn’t shoot her. And after being here for 3 or 4 minutes, in the end they escaped taking only one bicycle, shot 26, which they saw on their way when they were leaving home”.
“HE FEELS A MOTORCYCLE AND IT IS ALTERED”
For his part, Burroni, while playing with the heroine of this story, alluded to a sequel that remained after his brave behavior against the assailants.
In this sense, he revealed that after that episode “he feels that a motorcycle is passing by on the sidewalk or on the street and he gets upset. She was like scared ”.
“Even – she later added – that same morning, after the thieves escaped, she was very nervous and barked a lot.”
Both he and his son did not hesitate to reflect that “if it weren’t for the dog, these guys would wake us up, threaten us with death and steal everything from us.”
