Bubble’s intestines were hanging out of her stomach and both dogs have had to undergo operations costing hundreds of thousands of kroner.
– They have done a fantastic job, we didn’t think it would work. I thought Bubble would die in my arms. It feels absolutely amazing that they made it, says their owner Åsa Martinsson with tears in her throat.
“Constantly reminded”
Since the dogs were allowed to come home to Fridafors, it has been medication and rest – and extra love from mother and owner. Bubblan, who turns nine years old this year, has a lot left to experience – and will perhaps become a grandmother during the year.
Although the joy is great, there is still a trauma left in both the dogs and Åsa.
– I have a lump in my stomach all the time. You are constantly reminded of what has happened.
The owner is served
In December, the county administrative board decided on an injunction against the owner of the wolf dog, according to the Act on supervision of dogs and cats. According to the decision, the dog must from now on be kept on a leash and wear a muzzle during all stays outside the boundaries of the home.
