Tape Moon is the solo project of Vienna-based musician Michael Naphegyi. After numerous concerts and music productions with a wide variety of formations, the 30-year-old focuses on the interplay between melody and sound experiment in the context of pop music. With his debut album ‘absent’, which was created during the first Corona lockdown, he won the Sound@V Music Prize 2022 and has just released the new single ‘time is running out’. For the LIVE implementation of the project, the native of Feldkirch grabbed three strapping guys from his college in Vienna and will be touring with Michael Blassnig, Joachim Huber and Philipp Wohovsky across Central Europe from January 2023 with a joyful stopover at bugo.
About Michael Naphegyi
Born in Feldkirch, he lives and works as a freelance musician, producer and bandleader in Vienna. Mainly active in the field of jazz & improvised music, popular music and live performance in numerous projects, he loves the merging of all arts and the conversion of drawers into a big chaotic closet without doors and shelves but with rough edges.
To the bugo library session:
After the successful pavilion concerts in the bugo garden and the well-known bugo summer sessions during the summer months, we are creating a new counterpart for the cold season with the ‘bugo library session’.
So that there is also something going on culturally in bugo during the winter months, we have invited wonderful artists with a connection to Vorarlberg to bring their current work and new music to Göfis. True to the motto ‘right in the middle and up close’, the musical experience of our live acts should feel like at home in the living room. The new format is curated by Christian Sonderegger, himself a freelance musician and music school teacher.
