The launch of the next major expansion for Destiny 2 is fast approaching as Lightfall will be released on February 28, 2023. Ahead of that date, Bungie has now shared a brand new trailer that mainly revolves around the new town where the expansion is based: Neomuna.
This city appears to be cyberpunk heaven, and it’s also quite a change from the usual environments we got in Destiny 2, as this is primarily an urban environment, unlike the swamps of The Witch Queen, the icy wastelands of Beyond Light , the dusty moonscape in Shadowkeep and the double expansions The Tangled Shore and The Dreaming City in Forsaken.
We’re also introduced to some of the new characters, though their exact involvement in the narrative remains unclear, while noting the overwhelming presence of Calus, who once again looks set to be a formidable opponent for the Guardian to face during the Lightfall storyline.
