A spectacular accident occurred this Saturday in Havana after a bus lost its brakes and crashed into a house.
The incident occurred in the Monterrey area, on the San Miguel del Padrón road, and there were no victims, confirmed Internet user Dyango Ramos Tur in the Facebook group “ACCIDENTS BUSES & TRUCKS for more experience and fewer victims!”
“The brakes were gone, only material damage,” he clarified.
The images show the urban transport bus, apparently on the A3 route, colliding with a modern car that would have been dragged by it before colliding with the house.
Dozens of Internet users lamented that the bus was the only one that was available on that route.
“Well I want to say now that the A3 was left without a car, it was the only one in that line and another one for the Tonga,” commented one.
Although others questioned the driver’s expertise, some agreed that the poor state of the buses and Cuban roads are the fundamental cause of these accidents.
“As long as the Calzada San Miguel continues to be disrupted, there will be no brake, suspension, or bus that lasts. The fault lies with the abandonment that the authorities have with that road. Most of the buses in Diezmero have steering problems for that reason. It seems that there has to be a death to give the definitive solution for that avenue”, said a member of the group.
