After being intensely searched by the Misiones Police for four days, and after several raids carried out by the provincial force in different properties that he owns in the capital city, yesterday afternoon the textile businessman Santiago appeared spontaneously before the Justice Pissani (55).

This is the merchant who was denounced last Monday night by Sebastián L. (23), a pizza delivery man who had a dispute with Pissani and who received various blows from the businessman in the middle of a discussion.

Sources involved in the investigation indicated that the defendant appeared with his lawyer, minutes after 6:30 p.m. yesterday in the Investigating Court Two of Posadas. And from that moment on, he was made available to Judge Juan Manuel Monte, who on Tuesday had ordered a request for the arrest of various security forces after the young delivery man’s complaint.

Pissani is preliminarily charged with injuries and threats. And he could go through an investigative hearing next Monday, if the intervening magistrate so requires.

Yesterday two raids were carried out on different properties belonging to the defendant.

During yesterday’s session, Judge Monte himself denied the exemption from prison presented days ago by the defendant’s lawyer. And among other procedures ordered by this case, he ordered two raids on different properties that the merchant has in the provincial capital.

The spokespersons indicated that yesterday morning, the seized properties were a large house in Itaembé Guazú and another property in the private neighborhood of Costa Mangó.

As was learned, the defendant was lodged last night in a cell at the Third Police Station.

According to the presentation made by the motomandado before the Police, the young man reported that he was the victim of a severe beating while delivering a food order.

In this sense, Sebastián L. (23) accused the well-known businessman and former champion of Greco-Roman wrestling Santiago Pissani (55) for the act.

Through different police sources, this morning paper was able to verify that in the complaint, the delivery man stated that around 11:50 p.m. on Monday he was making a delivery of two pizzas to an address located on Barrufaldi street, almost Uruguay.

At the scene, the now detainee had claimed that his order was delayed. Reason for which he told her that he would not pay the delivery man for the entire meal, throwing the merchandise on the ground and aggressively telling him to leave. He then physically assaulted the motomandado, according to the complaint. As a result of this incident, Sebastián L. suffered various blows to the face.

“I was wrong”

In an interview he had with Red Ciudadana, while he was still a fugitive, Pissani broke his silence after the episode in which he was involved was broadcast and defended himself against the accusation.

The textile businessman acknowledged that he did not have an attitude according to the situation, but denied having started an attack.

“I was wrong because I threw the pizza on the floor and then I picked him up and gave it to him in his hand,” he explained.

Always according to the story made by the businessman, the situation continued with the young man arguing that the return would make him lose his income from the trip.

“He tells me ‘no, but stop, they’re going to discount my pizza.’ And I tell him ‘you take him and if they discount the pizza, I’ll give you the money tomorrow, and I’ll pay you for delivery now.’ Because it’s a job and my anger was with the one at the pizzeria because it took me a while, do you understand?” Pissani explained.
