At the April 28th appears with Star Wars Jedi: Survivor one of the most anticipated games of the year. Finally, Respawn was able to convince in many places with the first part, Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. Both fans of the brand and the international press have praised the title in many places. Our test for the top title released in 2019 was also pretty positive. So considering the popularity of the game, the current relevance of the brand, and the anticipation of the upcoming sequel, the question arises as to whether the protagonist Cal Kestis could appear in other Star Wars projects as well.
Cal Kestis with film role?
To date, the main character of Respawn’s two Jedi games has not appeared in a film or series by the brand. But it’s not as if this idea is entirely new. Finally, Sffgazette emphasizes that there are already some rumors online on this very subject. Kathleen Kennedy, currently President of Lucasfilm, picked up these rumors in an interview recently. She gave this to Entertainment Weekly magazine.
“I’ve seen a lot of rumors about it online‘ said the President of Lucasfilm. Laughing, Kennedy remarked in an interview with Entertainment Weekly: ‘This could be really interesting. It’s certainly not our focus at the moment, but it’s interesting that we talk to each other at all different levels of the business.”
Although Kennedy also emphasizes how much people within the Lucasfilm cosmos work together and exchange ideas, she never gets really specific about the Kestis idea. But at least it doesn’t look like we can expect an announcement of a movie or series with the protagonist from Jedi: Survivor any time soon. At the same time, appearances in future projects are apparently being kept open.
