For the moment if you are a fan of Call of Duty and owner of a Nintendo Switch it is a bit miserable. At least, for now…

The last Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 is a great success there is no doubt about it. Especially since the Infinity Ward studio continues its work during the year 2023 which should not give rise to another game of the license. But for the sequel, how about a COD 100 Nintendo Switch game? It was announced at the end of 2021 that Infinity Ward would open an office in the city of Austin, Texas, but so far little information has been shared on this side. Except that…

Call of Duty yes, but on Switch

All this is still speculation but the Nintendo fan and YouTuber Doctre81 dug into LinkedIn and discovered that at least five former Nintendo employees currently work at the Austin, Texas office. In this context, Doctre81 was quick to point out that near the Austin office is also Retro Studios, a Nintendo partner studio that has in the past worked on donkey kong, Mario Kart and Metroid Prime. Chance or coincidence?

And that’s not counting a new list of job search creations on the official studio website. All relate to a game call of duty. And if nothing specifically mentions the Nintendo Switch, we can still admit that all this seems curious. One could very well imagine the porting of an already existing game on Nintendo’s hybrid console, which would also make it possible to appease everyone in the context of the takeover of Activision Blizzard by Microsoft.

In any case, the Austin studio will begin to work actively on call of duty… But which one and on what medium? Mystery. On your side, would you like to be able to play COD on your Switch or would you prefer to book this experience on PC, PlayStation and Xbox?
