A modification of article 29 of the internal regulations of the Chamber of Senators is what the bill presented yesterday at the entrance table of said chamber proposes.
With the change, the wording will look like this:
Article 29: The title of its members will be “Senator of the Nation” and “Senator of the Nation”. The treatment will be “Mr. Senator” and “Madam Senator”

“For me it is not the problem now, it can be excellent, super, but our problem now is poverty, expensive fuel, the basic basket that goes up every day, corruption, not a matter of names,” said Senator Basilio Núñez.
The bill adds that the legislative body will be referred to simply as the Chamber of Senators, that is, the qualifier is also eliminated for the institution.
A second proposal proposes the reform of the protocol law, through the elimination of the qualification “excellence” for all national authorities.
