The Secretary General of the Confederation of African Football (CAF), Mr. Veron Mosengo-Omba, has been in Algeria since yesterday. He is on a two-day working visit.
It was around noon yesterday that the general secretary of CAF, Veron Mosengo Omba, landed at Houari Boumediene airport. He found at his reception, in the airport’s VIP lounge, the President of the Algerian Football Federation, Djahid Zefizef, and the secretary general of the federal body, Mr. Mounir D’Bichi. Thereafter, he headed for the wilaya of Blida.
It was Mr. Ahmed Maabad, wali of Blida, who was at the reception this time on the steps of the headquarters of the wilaya. A welcome marked by the presence of several members of the executive.
Mr. Veron Mosengo-Omba was invited to follow a documentary devoted to the wilaya of Blida, its many riches and its potentialities as well as an overview of the rehabilitation project of the Chahid Mustapha Tchaker stadium. Before joining the Blidéenne enclosure, the host of the city of Roses received a few presents from the wali, including products from local crafts.

Why did CAF SG only visit Blida?

The visit of the CAF Secretary General will continue today with an audience with the Minister of Youth and Sports, Mr. Abderrahmane Hammad, at the headquarters of his ministerial department.
