With no winners this Saturday, the jackpot Powerball has grown and is closer to becoming a 10-figure prize, as it already amounts to $975 million for the next draw, this Monday at night.
This is the fifth largest jackpot in lottery game history and the largest prize announced so far in 2024, he noted Powerball website. The prize has an estimated cash value of $471.7 million.

On Saturday night, no ticket matched the six numbers drawn: white balls 12, 13, 33, 50, 52 and red Powerball 23. However, the owners of four tickets sold in Illinois, Louisiana, Michigan and Pennsylvania, matched all five white balls and won prizes of $1 million.
In total, more than 2.3 million tickets won cash prizes in the latest Saturday drawing.
The jackpot of the popular game of chance was won for the last time on January 1with a ticket sold in Michigan that took home $842.4 million from the first drawing of the year.
Since then, 38 consecutive raffles have been held without a grand prize winner.
In 2023, the Powerball jackpot was won six times. The last one, on October 11, with a jackpot of 1,765 million for a ticket purchased in California. That has been, so far, the second highest prize in the history of the game.
To participate in Powerball, five numbers are chosen between 1 and 59, and a sixth number between 1 and 26, which is called Powerball. Players can select numbers on a ballot or they can let the lottery machine pick them at random.
Tickets to participate cost $2 per play. The odds of winning a prize are 1 in 24.9; and those of winning the jackpot, 1 in 292.2 million.
