The selection of South Sudan will not play the CAN U17 which takes place in Algeria. Indeed, the Confederation of African Football has excluded him from the competition. The reason ? That’s after five of his players failed age-control Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) tests.

But the rest of the competition will see the absence of the selection of South Sudan after being excluded by the Confederation of African Football. And for good reason, five of its players failed MRI age control tests, CAF announced.

The South Sudan Football Federation confirmed the information on its Twitter account. “It is very regrettable that our Bright Star Junior has been excluded from the TotalEnergies U17 Africa Cup of Nations 2023, which is taking place in Algeria, after five of his players did not meet the eligibility criteria for the competition. “. Laments the Federation of the young African country.

It is useful to point out the CAF regulations stipulate that a team is disqualified from a competition if four (04) of its players are ineligible for the age control MRI eligibility test.
