INSABI disappears with more than 10 million affiliated girls and boys

Currently, in Mexico there are more than 30 million minors between 0 and 14 years of age, of which 10 million 627 thousand 678 are cared for at the Institute of Health for Well-being (INSABI) According to the latest INEGI Population and Housing Survey, until recently this health organization provided medical services to Mexican men and women without social security.

On April 25, the Chamber of Deputies approved the reform to eliminate the INSABI, Jorge Alcocer, Secretary of Health in Mexico, confirmed that people affiliated with this organization will now be cared for at IMSS Bienestar.

Regarding catastrophic illnesses in boys and girls, no details have yet been given on what the transition process of these funds will be like from the INSABI to the IMSS welfare, however, Morena authorities shared that they remain in force.
