João Cancelo is already in Munich. The full-back will sign a loan contract until the end of the season no later than tomorrow’s Deadline Day. FC Bayern can then sign the Portuguese for 70 to 80 million euros with a purchase option.
Coach Julian Nagelsmann already wanted the 28-year-old in the winter transfer window of the previous year. But that seemed outrageous at the time, as the right-footed player was set at Manchester City and, for quite a few, was the best-formed full-back in the world.
Regular place suddenly gone
