Capcom has revealed sales targets for the current fiscal year, which will end on March 31, 2023: the Japanese company wants to sell 40 million games this year and the objective is perfectly achievable and indeed surmountable.

From April 1st to December 31st 2022, Capcom has sold 29.1 million video gamesan increase compared to the 25.8 million games sold in the same period of 2021. Capcom’s goal is to achieve your all-time record with 40 million games sold in a single fiscal year and the result can be achieved thanks to the launch of games such as Monster Hunter Rise (released in January on PlayStation and Xbox) and Resident Evil 4 Remake, arriving on March 24th, titles that will allow the house of Osaka to easily sell another ten million copies, thus achieving the pre-established results.

During the first nine months of the current fiscal year, Capcom has sold 2.75 million copies of Monster Hunter Ris, 1.5 million copies of Resident Evil 2, 1.45 million units of Devil May Cry 5 and 1.35 million copies of Resident Evil 3. Monster Hunter World Iceborne and Street Fighter V each sold 750,000 copies between April and December.

Despite these numbers, net sales fell 9.6% this yearno while operating profits fall 5%, finally earnings fall 7.1% compared to 2021 but the company is confident about the growth of these results by March 31st.
