The world of music is partying this June 7, celebrating the 66th birthday of a Latino icon: the Dominican Juan Luis Guerra. And one of his Cuban colleagues, an admirer of his work, did not miss the opportunity to congratulate him.
Carlos Varela sent an emotional message to the multi-award-winning composer and singer through his Instagram account, with a photo of both of them together: “Today is the birthday of this enormous giant of the Hispanic song! May God always bless you my brother! When I grow up, I want to be like you!”

Juan Luis Guerra was born on June 7, 1957 in Santo Domingo. He started his career in the 1980s, when he formed the banda 4.40.
