Carnival: the Lemon Festival is in full swing in Menton

Citrus fruits are at the party, Sunday February 12, in the streets of Menton (Alpes-Maritimes). After three years of restrictions, Corso returns to its usual size before the health crisis. Ten floats, loaded with several tons of lemons and oranges, parade under the amazed gaze of the spectators. “One must come ! Those who didn’t come this year, come next year!”, exclaims one of them. The 2023 parade is placed under the sign of rock ‘n’ roll.

So, for the occasion, Johnny Hallyday was also entitled to his lemon Harley Davidson, closely followed by his look-alike, ready to resume his greatest hits. Lively rhythms, accompanied by performances by acrobats or Brazilian dancers, to perfect the carnival atmosphere. And to enjoy the festival under the Menton sun, some came with their families, ready to travel 1,000 km from Eure-et-Loir for this Lemon Festival.
