Carrie Fisher is the 2,754th star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Harrison Ford and Mark Hamill received this distinction in 2003 and 2018 respectively.
The stars of the three actors are all located on the 6800 block of Hollywood Boulevard near the El Capitan Theater where the very first movie was shown Star Wars in 1977, as reported by the site of the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
“So deserved”
When this distinction was announced at the end of April, actor Mark Hamill, who plays the character of Luke Skywalker in the saga Star Wars, immediately spoke on social networks to welcome the initiative.
“Long overdue and so well deserved,” he wrote on Twitter.
A ceremony was organized to accompany the event on Thursday, in the presence of Carrie Fisher’s daughter, Billie Lourd, who accepted the prestigious honor on behalf of her mother.
