Nuevo Casas Grandes— After decades of illegality and with almost another decade of negotiations before various instances, yesterday the arrival in Nuevo Casas Grandes of more than a thousand property titles obtained during the management of the President of the Comisariado del Ejido Casas Grandes was finally announced, David Portillo Escarcega.
A year after finishing his term in charge of the Ejido Casas Grandes, Portillo Escárcega achieved what had not been done in all the years that the irregular settlements have existed in the south of the city, both due to the bureaucratism that the process required before various institutions , as well as the prevailing corruption that kept local files in disarray.
The situation was so normalized, with officials taking advantage of this informality, that not even the ejidatarios themselves believed that one day they would see a title with their own eyes.
But yesterday, after constant trips to the city of Chihuahua and procedures before Semarnat, the Agrarian Attorney’s Office and the National Agrarian Registry (RAN), David Portillo Escárcega and his team at the Ejidal Commissioner, announced and physically showed the thousand 88 property deeds signed and sealed, which will be delivered to the families of Nuevo Casas Grandes.
“For those who are saying that “El Ejido does not exist” and for those who believe it, we have this message for you: these property titles were issued by the institutions that recognize the Ejido Casas Grandes as the only body with legal validity to request a title. of property, because there is no other way for titling, everything is through this office”, the ejido leader stated.
For the owners who will finally have legal certainty of their assets in the Ampliación Colosio, Isolux, Gaseras, Tecnológico, Miguel Ángel Escárcega and Yonque neighborhoods, the President of the Ejidal Commissariat announced that they should prepare their official identification or a notarized power of attorney, since title will not be released to anyone other than the original owner.
It will be in the next few days when the event will be announced in which the documents that certify the ownership of each piece of land will be delivered, with which the families of those six colonies considered irregular until now, since the properties have already been titled, may request the various institutions that provide basic services to all these sectors.
