Mexico City- At the beginning of the fifth year of this federal government, the cash payments of the pensions for the elderly will continue, given the lack of access to the banking system of the beneficiaries.
When announcing the calendar for the dispersal of resources, the Secretary of Welfare, Ariadna Montiel, announced that pensioners from the most remote communities in the Country will receive the resources between January 9 and February 5.
During the conference of President Andrés Manuel López Obrador, the federal official announced that, for the first time, older adults, who already have a bank card to receive deposits, will not be able to collect on the same day, but will have to do it between January 4 and 10, to avoid saturations.
“It will be in five days for the banks to be ready,” he declared.
Payments will be made according to the first letter of the first last name of registered adults.
The Secretary of Well-being stressed that the moment will increase to 4,800 pesos every two months by 2024.
