Casio announced the launch of a new line of digital pianos that bring modernized style and unique functions to optimize the classic sound for different use cases. The “Privia” family consists of three models with different features for musicians: PX-S7000, PX-S6000 and PX-S5000.

Privia PX-S7000

One of the main releases, the PX-S7000 will be available in three colors: classic black, white and “Harmony Mustard”, a shade of yellow inspired by European architectures. This model has triple pedals and integrated stand that promise to recreate the classic aesthetic of the grand piano, in addition to wood-covered keys.

In addition to an illuminated and touch-sensitive control panel, pianos in the category have Smart Hybrid Hammer Action, technology that provides more precise playability. There are also four speakers that work independently and, together with the Piano Position function, adapt the acoustic location of the instrument.

The PX-S6000 offers the same Smart Hybrid Hammer Action and Piano Position technologies, but features a multidimensional sound system called “Morphing Air”, Casio’s patented technology that ensures a more natural and full-bodied sound.

You can use its Bluetooth MIDI Connection Adapter (WU-BT10) to pair a mobile phone, tablet or other device and listen to music through the built-in sound system.

The “Arpeggiator” feature lets you choose from 50 preset broken chord patterns so that each note is played separately through the speakers. The model has an 8W amplifier with a wood and resin finish to ensure good sound power in different types of environments.

For those who not only play, but also sing, the digital piano allows you to record your voice directly on the instrument and apply different microphone and reverb effects. This model lets you adjust the individual characteristics of each tone via Tone Modify, which is also available for the PX-S7000 in Casio’s dedicated application.

Finally, the line has the compact models of the PX-S5000 series. At just 9 inches deep, these digital pianos can fit into an even wider range of spaces without sacrificing sound quality.

“For demanding pianists, the weight of the keys was the differential in this launch”, comments Samuel Cimirro, executive director of Casio Brasil. “The ability to have something like grand piano quality in a compact, portable form and the accuracy of the sound and timbres has taken sound to a new level in the comfort of home.”

Casio has not yet revealed detailed information about the availability of its new digital pianos in Brazil. Last year, the manufacturer announced the Casiotone CT-S1000V, a musical keyboard capable of simulating singing from original lyrics.
