Even Amira’s collar burst…

After the Darts World Cup is before the Celebrity Darts World Cup! Just four days ago, Michael Smith (32) was able to secure the world championship title, and Gabriel “Gaga” Clemens (39) has just won the hearts of the fans with his performance at the Darts World Cup.

Now the next live challenge for the two stars and some of their colleagues followed: together with ambitious celebrities, they wanted to win the “Celebrity Darts World Cup” trophy on Saturday evening. With the celebrities: H-Blockz frontman Henning Wehland (51), moderator Matthias Killing (43), ex-soccer star Kevin Großkreutz (34), comedian Bülent Ceylan (47) and the couple Oliver (44) and Amira (30 ) Pocher.

Loud boos for Pocher

Ballermann mood prevailed in the Maritim Hotel at Düsseldorf Airport. The approximately 1,500 guests roared and sang enthusiastically when the celebrities walked in with the darts stars. When Olli Pocher appeared, however, loud boos suddenly sounded through the hall. The moderator had a black, red and gold Iroquois hairstyle for the event and also wore a seahorse glued to his head – he obviously copied the look of the cult dart player Peter Wright (52), also called “Snakebite”. , who competed with Pocher’s wife Amira.

Pocher explained to moderator Christian Düren (32): “I tried to set a highlight at least visually. I’ll convince with my performance.” Of course, Düren hadn’t ignored the boos either and stated: “It won’t be easy for you.” He was right about that – the first throws that Pocher made with his partner Fallon Sherrock (28) graduated, were again acknowledged with loud boos.

Meanwhile, Amira sat next to commentator Elmar Paulke (52) on the microphone and complained bitterly about the audience: “Now stop booing! Really, that’s so uncool. I don’t understand. But it got even worse for Olli: After he and Sherrock hadn’t been able to shine in the first round, his wife Amira knocked him out of the tournament.

She not only had the audience on her side, but also the much better throwing technique, which catapulted her into the semi-finals with “Snakebite”. Meanwhile, Pocher criticized his professional partner Sherrock, who had not scored the five points required in the first round: “That is a very clear criticism. I have to expect a pro to get a 5.” Amira tried to protect her Olli after the defeat: “He’s hurt. He’s ill.” Olli, however, was slightly offended by his wife’s success: “I’ll be going home. She can come by taxi.”

Grosskreutz and van Gerwen win

After a dramatic semi-final against Bülent Ceylan and Gerwyn Price (37), Amira Pocher also had to admit defeat despite an outstanding performance. Kevin Großkreutz and darts professional Michael van Gerwen (33) fought an exciting final against Ceylan and Price. At 12:29 a.m., the winners of the evening were finally determined: Großkreutz and van Gerwen got hold of the “Celebrity Darts World Cup” trophy. For van Gerwen it was already the third title: He had already won in 2017 with soccer star Tim Wiese (41) and in 2020 with handball player Pascal Hens (42).

No surprise: Olli Pocher hadn’t gone home yet. He appeared on stage at the end of the show wearing headphones – a nod to the Gerwyn Price hearing protection debate.
