Greece international Georgios Giakoumakis continues his career in MLS. As Atlanta United announce, the Celtic forward will join the club until 2026. In the 2021/22 season, the right-footed player was the top scorer in the Scottish Premiership (13 goals, editor’s note).

Regarding the signing of Giakoumakis, Carlos Bocanegra (Technical Director and Vice President of Atlanta, editor’s note) says: “Giorgos is a player the club have been eyeing for some time and we are delighted to bring him to Atlanta. He’s a strong striker who loves to get into the box and score goals. He plays with a high intensity, works hard and is someone who we think will help the team on both offense and defence.”
