It’s worth watching?
Certain people is a comedy that can seem strange at first, both for the way the scenes are set up and for the type of humor used. For example: the film transitions between scenes with loud music, in the greatest sitcom style, despite not being anything like one, bringing a confused feeling about what is being watched.
In addition, the way to make humor is, basically, being mocking and offensive to criticize precisely what is offensive in society. By addressing the black community in the United States and two very different religions, the comedy brings several doses of “other people’s shame”, but in the end it all makes sense.
It is worth insisting on Certain people, but you have to watch it thinking that the film is somewhat unusual. Leaving aside the extremely delicate humor of being treated, the couple really love each other and their families will need to understand that this alone is enough for them to be happy.
