Blanc is a video game poem that is good to have on Valentine’s Day. Here are 3 reasons to find out without delay.

Today is Valentine’s Day, what could be better than slipping under the duvet to enjoy a video game for two. As a happy coincidence, the Casus Ludi studio has the perfect game for you. Whitehis latest nugget, is an indie game playable in co-op that transports you to a snowy world that is both hostile and warm. Here are 3 reasons to succumb to the devastating charm of White.

A new co-op adventure

In White, you and your playmate play as a fawn and a wolf cub, both lost after enduring a snowstorm. Fortunately, traces are still visible on the white ground, so you can follow them to find your family. As a little help is never refused, the two little animals will have to rely on each other to get through the trials that the world has in store for them.

White adopts the style of local (non-split) single-screen co-op with two or four Joy-Cons. To play remotely, you will need a second console as well as a second copy of the game. Once in the game, the coop remains classic, with mechanics that can be done by one of the two characters, in turn. Each player must bring his stone to the building to advance in the story.

Quick to do

The puzzles and other thinking mechanisms follow one another and do not necessarily look alike, during an adventure that is ultimately quite simple to complete. A few hours will suffice for you to complete this work, which is more accessible to very occasional players. The controls are simple to learn, you can only walk, run, jump and use your special ability.

White is therefore a perfect game for a night out, or for those who never have time to play. Despite some approximations in terms of gameplay and a lot of misleading paths, the adventure is rather fluid for anyone who manages to communicate a minimum. Unlike his peers, no argument is possible with White who has the gift of melting hearts like snow.

Enchanting graphics

The special charm of White precisely based on its visual universe drawn by hand before taking shape in an animated way. The work of the developers is in a certain way colossal, even if the world of small animals sports only black and white decorations. This monochrome makes it possible to focus on the most important elements of the story while depicting a universe devoid of life apart from our little characters.

The only thing that can be criticized for this kind of decor is its ease in deceiving us. Invisible walls aren’t necessarily obvious, and it’s easy to not understand why a specific path is being denied to you. We nevertheless catch up quickly by observing a little more in detail the environment of the game at the level design very well arranged. Available today, White is playable on PC and Nintendo Switch.
