Samsung Electronics announced that it will unveil innovative projects from the C-Lab Program (Note 1) at CES 2023, including 4 outstanding projects from the C-Lab Inside Entrepreneurship Program, its internal venture capital program, and support from the C-Lab Outside Acceleration Program 8 start-up companies. From January 5th to 8th, visitors to CES Eureka Park will be able to see the style of innovation projects. This exhibition area in Las Vegas, USA, is the main exhibition space for many startups around the world. Three Weeks hopes that start-up companies from C-Lab can use CES to showcase their projects to the global market, strengthen their commercial viability, and meet with potential investors.

C-Lab Inside: Samsung Employees Showcase Metaverse and Lifestyle Projects

Since 2016, Samsung has continued to showcase the projects promoted by the C-Lab Inside innovation plan at each CES, and the projects that will be exhibited in 2023 have been highly evaluated in terms of innovation, marketability and integrity. The participating projects are as follows:

  • Meta-Running: Metaverse platform for learning correct running posture.
  • Porkamix: A metaverse platform for interactive concert experiences.
  • Soom: A new meditation experience with instant feedback.
  • Falette: 3D digital transformation of home textiles.

C-Lab Outside: Startups showcase robots, AI and other products, becoming an eye-catching highlight at CES

Launched in October 2018, the C-Lab Outside program is a startup acceleration program dedicated to revitalizing the Korean startup ecosystem. Startups participating in the C-Lab Outside program will receive office space, mentorship from Samsung technology experts, digital marketing and financial consulting; additional support, including potential partnerships with Samsung and participation in influential IT events Exhibitions such as CES and KES (Korea Electronics Show).

Over the past year, Samsung and C-Lab Outside have co-incubated these start-ups at the Center for Creative Economy & Innovation in Daegu and Gyeongsangbuk-do, refined their technological proficiency, and fled through the program. The already abundant start-up companies are also preparing to leap onto the international stage of CES 2023. The eight startups selected by Queping are as follows:

  • NdotLight: Web-based 3D design solution.
  • NEUBILITY: Urban delivery service via driverless robots.
  • 40FY: Digital mental health care application service from examination to treatment.
  • CELLICO: A tiny bionic eye for people with retinal diseases.
  • Plask: AI-driven, browser-based motion capture and animation editing tool.
  • Wrn Technologies: Writing training and content creation services leveraging generative AI.
  • Catius: A multi-turn conversational AI companion for kids.
  • Erangtek: An Internet of Things (IoT) micro-repeater designed for home users to improve call quality.
