Things went well for the German teams in the first leg of the Champions League round of 16. As a result, five Bundesliga players are represented in the FT top eleven.
Player of the Match: Vinicius Junior
Liverpool FC and Real Madrid conjured up the most spectacular game in the Champions League round of 16. The best man in the 5-2 win for the royals was Vinicius Junior. The Brazilian dribble king provided two goals and an assist as his team fought back from a 2-0 deficit. Coach Carlo Ancelotti named his protégé after the game “biggest difference player in world football”.
