The Department of Justice would file charges this Monday against three subjects who carried out an intense persecution on Sunday in which there was an exchange of shots and culminated in Río Grande.
Authorities are still on the trail of a fourth suspect.
According to preliminary information, it all started because the gang allegedly carjacked a woman in the Fortuna Playa area in Luquillo.
After an alert to the Police, municipal agents located the stolen car, described as a Ford Fiesta, in the direction of Río Grande and a high-speed chase began. The vehicle subsequently lost control and crashed.
At this time, it is unknown if those involved were injured.
The assailants fired at municipal police officers, but they were unharmed.
