The President of the Republic, invited to the coronation ceremony this Saturday in London, congratulated King Charles III and Queen Camilla in a tweet.

In a tweet, the President of the Republic Emmanuel Macron sent his congratulations to King Charles III and Queen Camilla “friends of France” a few minutes after the coronation of the British royal couple.

This Saturday, the President of the Republic and his wife attended the coronation ceremony at Westminster Abbey. “Proud to be by your side on this historic day,” added Emmanuel Macron in his tweet.

A hundred heads of state were invited to Westminster Abbey for the king’s coronation this Saturday. This is not a tradition, but a wish expressed by King Charles III.

France occupies a special place for the British sovereign. The latter had chosen France to make his first state visit abroad after his accession to the throne. This stay, scheduled for April, had been postponed due to the mobilization against the pension reform.
